Speed dating for superheroes
Superheroes and heroines might be stronger, faster and bigger than the average person, but are they better at finding love?
With more than 60,000 in town for the Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo, Calgary Speed Dating is hopeful that a stop by one of the convention's weekend speed dating sessions will help some find their very own happily-ever-after.
"Single people can look across the room and find someone who is wearing the same or similar costume to them ... and find the same or kindred spirits," says Catherine Saykaly-Stevens, former owner of Calgary Speed Dating and the facilitator for the Expo's "Geek Speed Dating."
The Expo held two sessions Saturday for people looking for love with the opposite sex.
The session today will target LGBT singles on the hunt for that special someone.
It will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. MT.
