Edmonton Oilers will host 1984 Stanley Cup Reunion in October

Wayne Gretzky, Mark Messier, and Paul Coffey will be among the legendary Edmonton Oilers players reunited on Oct. 10 when the team hosts a celebration in honour of the 30th anniversary of the 1984 Stanley Cup victory. 

The Oilers made the announcement on Tuesday afternoon with the help of Gretzky, who made an appearance via webcast,

The team will host the 1984 Stanley Cup reunion at Rexall Place in support of the Stollery Children's Hospital. 

Tickets for the special celebration will go on sale Friday Aug. 22 at 10 a.m., at a cost of $99 per seat. 

"Winning the first Stanley Cup in 1984 was a huge moment for everyone on the team," said Gretzky in a news release. "It's going to be amazing to see everyone again, the first time we've all been together since 1984. I can't wait to be in Edmonton and share stories and many great memories with our fans."
