New condominiums unveiled in West Broadway

Residents in Winnipeg's West Broadway neighbourhood are having their first look at a new condominium building this week.
Giant orange tarps were removed from The Element Condominiums, a four-storey structure that has been under construction for months on the corner of Sherbrook Street and Sara Avenue.
Leah McCormick, executive director of the West Broadway BIZ, says neighbours have been posting comments about the new building now that it has been revealed.
"We're very excited to see people and life in it," McCormick told Trevor Dineen of CBC's Information Radio on Tuesday.
The condo building will mean increased home ownership in the area, McCormick said.
The 44-unit block is built on land where two derelict houses and an empty lot used to sit.
The builder, Sandhu Developments, says the condo building is 70 per cent sold.
The developers also have plans for another condo project along the Assiniboine River in the city's downtown.
Construction of a 24-storey development on the former site of Dubrovnik Restaurant will begin this summer.
