Dirt bike found ablaze linked to Trinity thefts

Two youths have been arrested and are facing charges following a string of thefts from vehicles, and an off-road dirt bike was found ablaze.

Trinity Conception RCMP said the two boys have been charged with theft under 5000, possession of stolen property and failure to comply with a youth probation order.

One of the boys is also facing the more serious charges of theft of a motor vehicle and arson.

Police said while they were investigating the thefts, the off-road dirt bike was found on fire in Clarke's Beach.

Officers were able to link that fire back to one of the youth.

RCMP in the area said they want to remind the public to lock their car doors at all times and to report all suspicious activity.
