A woman and her eight-year-old daughter are dead following a head-on highway crash west of Saskatoon Monday night.
A truck and a car collided around 9 p.m. CST on Highway 14 close to the village of Grandora, the RCMP said.
The driver of the car, a 40-year-old woman from Langham, and her daughter were killed.
The occupants of the pickup were taken to a Saskatoon hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
For several hours, the highway was closed at the scene and traffic was rerouted. Cars were flowing through the area again by about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Police haven't released the names of the people killed. They said they're continuing to investigate the crash and are looking at the possibility the woman was using her cell phone at the time of the collision.
