Two mixed martial arts athletes who train out of Burlington’s Tapout Training Centre gym will be in action Saturday night when UFC 149 is held in Calgary.

Mitch Gagnon of Sudbury will take on Bryan Caraway in his UFC debut, competing in the 135-pound division. Gagnon was the Ringside MMA championship before being signed by the UFC, taking an 8-1 pro record into his fight.

Antonio Carvalho, another local UFC fighter who trains in Burlington and lives in Toronto, is also on the card in Calgary. Carvalho’s match against Daniel Pineda in the 145 lb. division will be his second UFC fight. He has a record of 13-5 in pro bouts.
