Gun threat made during store robbery

Police are searching for a man who robbed the Short Stop convenience store on Beverly Street early Wednesday morning.

The suspect entered the store at 4:14 a.m., told the clerk he had a gun and demanded cash. He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The employee described the man as about 30 years old and about 5’8” tall, with a medium build. He had blue eyes and blond hair cut into a faux-hawk style.

At the time, the man was dressed in a black fleece hoodie, jean shorts, white socks and running shoes.
