Web link for road closures

Want to check on road and lane closures within the City of Cambridge?

Technology enhancements have made it possible for the city to provide a list of road and lane closures.

The website – www.cambridge.ca/roadclosures – references construction projects that are coming soon, currently underway or completed, so that the impact such projects have on traffic flow can be minimized.

The information is very comprehensive and provides details on the nature of construction, timing and anticipated re-opening date.

Information on regional roads handled by the Region of Waterloo is available through another link on the page.

Special event road closures are not captured in this data set.

What's ahead?

Effective May 14, Dundas Street at Moffat Creek will be closed for three weeks. There will be sanitary sewer construction along Dundas Street that will require a road closure.

The Region of Waterloo is working on a major infrastructure project along Dundas Street, which means a full closure to vehicular traffic.

The city recommends taking alternative routes during this time period. All southbound traffic will be routed via Franklin Boulevard, Myers Road, and Branchton Road. The northbound detour is not affected.

For residents on Dundas Street between Champlain Boulevard and Branchton Road, one-way access will be provided via a temporary gravel lane in the boulevard, along Dundas Street from Champlain Boulevard southbound.
