GUELPH – Justice of the Peace Kathy-Lou Johnson denied bail to alleged drug trafficker Phillip Stack, 30, of Guelph in Ontario Court of Justice Wednesday.
Stack is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, relating to an arrest Tuesday following a Guelph Police Service investigation that began in February. The charge relates to an incident in which police seized almost seven kilograms of marijuana with a wholesale value of roughly $30,000. Police also seized almost $25,000 in cash.
On Wednesday, Johnson adjourned the matter to an April 5 court appearance so Stack can obtain a lawyer and receive full disclosure of the Crown allegations against him.
