Police continue to investigate after a pedestrian was struck on Fennell Ave. near Upper Gage.

Fennell Avenue East remains closed between Upper Gage Avenue and East 43rd Street late Tuesday afternoon after a pedestrian was apparently struck just before 4 p.m. Around 6 p.m., both the eastbound and westbound lanes were still blocked off by police cruisers and yellow tape. The Collision Reconstruction Unit was on the scene, along with police officers. A green SUV with what appeared to be a shatter on the windshield and a Hamilton Street Railway bus were stopped within the taped off area. Police spoke to who looked like the driver of the bus as he sat behind the wheel. Spectators pulled up at the edge of the Fennell Plaza's parking lot to watch, but none had witnessed the accident. Plaza employees said they didn't see the collision, but they heard a pedestrian was struck. Did you see the accident? Please call 905-526-3254 with information.;
