GO Transit is adding train service for Markham riders.

Starting April 6, Centennial and Unionville GO Station riders will have a new weekday morning train trip southbound to Union Station at 7:11 a.m. and 7:17 a.m., respectively. The 7:34 a.m. and 7:40 a.m. trains will be rescheduled to 7:43 a.m. and 7:49 a.m.

There will be a second new weekday morning train trip to Union Station that will originate at Unionville GO Station, scheduled for 9:15 am.

This will increase the number of morning trains at Centennial GO Station from five to six and at Unionville GO from five to seven.

There will also be a new weekday northbound evening trip, departing from Union Station at 7:18 p.m. to arrive at 7:53 p.m. at Unionville GO and at 7:59 p.m. at Centennial.

This will increase the number of evening trains at Centennial GO Station from five to six, and at Unionville GO Station from seven to eight.

These new trains build on recently implemented changes that included increasing capacity on morning trains with additional railcars and two new afternoon train trips from Union Station (2:18 p.m. and 3:18 p.m.) travelling northbound to terminate at Unionville GO.
