OSHAWA -- An Oshawa church group is throwing a fun day and all members of the community are invited to attend.

The Greater Bethlehem Deliverance Ministry is an Oshawa church organization that provides counselling, life and social skills training, mentoring programs and recreational programs for children and youth.

It will be throwing a free community fun day and barbecue on July 15 from 3 to 8 p.m. at 524 Simcoe St. S. in Oshawa. The event will include singers, performers, guest speakers and activities for the kids.

Sergeant Glenn Courneyea will make a presentation on behalf of Durham police and Oshawa MP Colin Carrie is also expected to attend.
