Tensions flared again when protesters were told they had to clear out of Zuccotti Park so workers could clean up. The park is privately owned by Brookfield Properties, a Canadian company, which had planned the cleanup before the protests started. Brookfield Properties had asked for police assistance during the cleanup, but ultimately decide to postpone the operation rather than force a standoff.
