A car crashed into the front of the Face-à-Face daycare on St-Martin Boulevard West in Laval, Que., around 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Stéphane Smith, chief of operations at Urgences Santé, said the driver of the vehicle and three children from the daycare are injured, but could not comment about the severity of the injuries.

Radio-Canada is reporting the driver of the vehicle is an 80-year-old woman.

Another nearby daycare, GarderieApprendreetApprecier, is taking in 27 children from Face-à-Face.

Const. Franco Di Genova of the Laval police said UrgencesSanté, as well as Laval police and emergency services, responded to the scene. Ambulances transported the injured children to Ste-Justine hospital.

Di Genova said it appears the driver meant to reverse but drove forward instead. The entire car wound up inside the daycare.

Face à Face is a bilingual daycare operated by Christina Strigas in the Laval neighbourhood of Chomedey.
