Heather Conway has been picked as the next executive vice-president of English-language services of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.
The executive vice-president of English-language services is in charge of all television, radio and online services at the public broadcaster.
A formal announcement is expected Thursday morning.
Conway comes to CBC from the Art Gallery of Ontario, where she was chief business officer.
She has been head of the Edelman public relations firm in Canada, and she spent six years as executive vice-president of marketing at broadcaster Alliance Atlantis. Prior to that, she was executive vice-president of corporate and public affairs for TD Bank Financial Group.
Conway is currently a member of the boards of directors of IGM Financial and American Express Canada.
The previous head of CBC's English services, Kirstine Stewart, left last April to become head of Twitter Canada.
